Reactor N Privacy Policy

Reactor N is a free educational app for nuclear-energy students and enthusiasts. It provides live NRC reactor status, regulatory alerts, public energy-market data, exam preparation, and an AI study copilot. The app requires no account, contains no purchases, and collects as little as possible. This policy explains what little is processed and how.

No Account, No Sign-In

Reactor N has no login and no registration. We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.

Information Processed

• AI copilot & document analysis content — questions you type and document text you submit for analysis are transmitted over HTTPS to our backend and to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate a response. This content is not used to train AI models.
• On-device data — your watchlist, study progress, journal entries, and generated reports are stored locally on your device using Apple's encrypted SwiftData framework. They are not transmitted to us unless you submit them as part of an AI query.
• Public data fetches — the app fetches publicly available data from the NRC, EIA, and Federal Register. No personal information is sent to these agencies.

What We Do Not Do

• No third-party analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising networks.
• No sale, rental, or monetization of user data.
• No subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid tiers — the app is entirely free.

Data Retention & Deletion

All personal content lives on your device; deleting the app deletes it. AI query content is processed to generate the response and retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention, then deleted. You may request earlier deletion by email.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable export of any personal information. Email copilotguardian@gmail.com. Response within 30 days.

Data Security

All data transmitted from the app is encrypted in transit via HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). On-device data uses Apple's encrypted SwiftData framework.

Educational Use and No Warranty

Reactor N aggregates public information for educational and informational purposes. It is not a substitute for official NRC guidance or licensed legal, engineering, or compliance counsel.

Children's Privacy

Reactor N is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Updates will be posted at this URL; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
